Day 2 of our feature in which we bring you previews of the each of the songs from the new Eric Saade album, and today’s track is ‘Me & My Radio’

One of the more pop orientated cuts on the album, ‘Me & My Radio’ has a delightfully simple melody to it. And the uncomplicated tune is matched by an ever so sweet lyrical message too. Despite being a fast track on an album of mostly up-tempos, this still manages to standout, as it’s the more innocent counterpart to the slightly edgier ‘Killed By A Cop’, ‘Made Of Pop’, and ‘Hearts In The Air’. While the likes of those have been tailored to appeal to radio listeners or club dancefloors, ‘Me & My Radio’ seems like it’s sole focus is to find a place in the hearts of Eric’s younger fans. And we imagine it probably will. It has an unrelenting synth riff running through most of it, not dissimilar to Britney’s ‘Heaven On Earth’. And we’re impressed to see that Eric has recruited Danish pop legends, Cutfather and Remee to help out on this one.

Eric Saade is all set to release his brand new album – ’Saade Vol.1’. At first glance that might seem an odd title for a sophomore album. But it’s called so because he wrote and recorded so many tracks while making the record, that he decided to split them into two albums – and so ‘Saade Vol.2’ will follow at a later date. Plus this new record is his proper international launch, so the “volume 1” nods towards that fact in a way.

Eric sent us the album this week, so that we could have a listen – and most importantly, so that YOU could have a listen to it too, ahead of its release later this month! He’s allowing scandipop.co.uk to stream clips of each of the tracks from the album so that you can get a taste of what it sounds like. How wonderful of him!
So starting from today, every couple of days we’ll be introducing a new song from the album on here.

Like a lot of the songs on ‘Saade Vol.1’, this is a club track with a big pop chorus and an even bigger post-chorus section. Don’t you just love a good post-chorus?! It makes the catchy even catchier. In the case of ‘Killed By A Cop’, the melody was stuck in our head after only one listen. It’s one of our favourites, and a typical example of the progression on this album from his first album. It’s still pop, but just that little bit more mature.

‘Saade Vol.1′ is released on June 29th.

SVT och TV4 kämpade tidigare i sommar om vem som skulle få Eric Saade, 20, till sitt allsångs-program. Till slut tackade han ja till båda - men han ska medverka i SVT:s "Allsång på Skansen" först, den 26 juli.
Nu blir det ändå en liten vinst för TV4. Expressen kan i dag avslöja alla klara artister för årets upplaga av "Sommarkrysset" - även där ska Eric Saade vara med och det redan i premiärprogrammet.
Mitten av säsongen

Den 25 juni står han på Gröna Lunds scen.
På listan finns också artister som Sahara Hotnights, The Ark, Kikki Danielsson och September. Dessutom ska humorserien om Rolandz vara ett stående inslag.
Nu är det också klart vem som kommer att vikariera för flitiga programledaren Gry Forssell, 38, när hon tar en kort semester i mitten av säsongen - Agneta Sjödin, 43
